Alana’s studies opened her mind to various cultural styles both ancient and contemporary. Her love of traveling throughout the world continuously allows her to experience this first hand. She studied at the Gemological Institute of America in New York City, where she received her Graduate Gemology Diploma and became an Accredited Jewelry Professional. Designing and creating Jewelry allows Alana to express herself while amalgamating her studies of jewelry, diamonds, and gemstones with her perspectives of art and jewelry design. fineas+clover started as an idea discussed over lunch one day between two friends reacquainted through Fiona's husband, who had gone to architecture school with Clover. Fiona who worked in finance and Clover in retail were ready to leave the corporate world and embark on a new entrepreneurial adventure.
