Jody Lyons inadvertently began Joli Jewelry in 1984 as an undergraduate in Marketing at NYU. She decided to replace some lost costume jewelry by creating her own out of old buttons and trimmings. While wearing her creations, local boutique owners encouraged her to design a complete line to sell in their shops. Influenced early on by the stylish & artistic women in her family who passionately loved wearing unusual jewelry, Jody's appreciation of all things vintage developed into a colorful style of eclectic, fun jewelry. She is continually inspired by NYC: the fabulous mix of color, the dynamic blend of modern and vintage, people from every corner of the globe, Seventh Avenue's latest fashions mixed with classics.
