During & after college, Amy McClure spent a good deal of time in Brazil, and being an artist her whole life, she finally found freedom and confidence to be who she was and do what she loves. She started feeling the need to create like never before. When the time came to start her own clay jewelry line, she instinctively chose the Portuguese name~Olaria, which means "pottery." Amy's jewelry pieces come from a variety of drawing techniques, graphic design processes, high-fire porcelain and stoneware clay (and glazes) that provide durability without weight as well as a wide range of variation in color and texture. Each one of Olaria's pieces is very unique and will usually tell you something about the person who chooses to wear it. It's a beautiful thing.
