New Beehive Designers (and husband and wife team), Starbuck and Lori, are the minds behind Happy Family, a collection of tees and totes for your entire family (men’s tees included!). Relatively new to Atlanta, Starbuck and Lori currently work full-time on their business. Stop by when you’re in the store to see their wide variety of creative products.
So She Sews
Brooke Bennett is the owner and designer of the eco-friendly line, SoSheSews. Made with upcycled materials, Brooke’s collection of apparel, accessories and housewares are created through the use of unexpected crafting techniques, such as creating stylish clutches and wallets from landfill-bound fused plastic grocery shopping bags. Brooke draws her inspiration from the vintage and repurposed materials she finds, along with her love of indie style. You can find the entire SoSheSews collection at the Beehive Atlanta.
GirlyGirl Productions
GirlyGirl Productions makes Girlywear for Everywhere! Inspired by her young daughter's love of color, frill and comfort, creator Anna Hinson designs and hand-makes stylish, chic, functional clothes for every “Girly Girl”, ages 2-8 years old. Drawn to colorful, bold and graphic floral fabrics, Anna frequently incorporates vintage and recycled fabrics, buttons and crocheted adornments to her garments and accessories. As a small business owner, Anna is a great believer in buying handmade products from local artisans to support the local economy.
Alicia Istanbul Designs
Alicia is one of the newest jewelry designers to join the Beehive family. A metalsmith artist with a unique style, Alicia’s work blends influences from many periods, including Medieval, Celtic and late 19th century styles. All of her work is derived from her original hand-drawn artwork, and is placed on the metal through etching, forging, piercing and casting.
Jaime Earl, Organic Face & Body Care
Jaime Earl’s organic face and body care line started out of a need to help her daughter’s sensitive skin condition. Using herbs, plants and essences, this organic line of face and body care products includes cleansers, exfoliators, masks, toners, moisturizers and serums for both women and men. In addition, Jaime has a dog care line for those who especially love their pups. Check out her entire wonderful line in the store now!
Jessica Gonacha, Unique Housewares and Artwork
A painter and a “spontaneous creator,” Jess believes that we all should “tenaciously fill our days with passion.” A creator of bright, bold design, Jess has made the Bee more colorful with her whimsical line of coasters, napkins and artwork, available on sale now. All of the designs and patterns on Jess’s work are her one-of-a-kind, original designs that you will not find anywhere else. In addition, as a new “Worker Bee,” you’ll be able to meet Jess on Fridays at the store, when she works the PM shift.
Estas Muy Linda
Amy, an England native by way of Spain, is one of the most recent additions to the Children’s section of the Beehive. All made from recycled and upcycled garments from England, her line includes clothing for your boys and girls ranging from age 2 – 10. In addition to her gypsy-inspired apparel, Amy also makes children’s accessories that your little girl would love.
