Description:

When I think of hand embroidery, usually I envision little oldladies in rocking chairs. That is SO not the hand embroidery oftoday! Join us for expert guidance in learning to embroider by hand,including choosing needles and floss, using the embroidery hoop,and planning out your design. Learn where to find hip, funky andeven subversive embroidery patterns, what materials are best toembroider on, and how to complete a number of basic stitches. Onceyou've mastered basic stitches and how to follow a pattern, comeback and discover how to create your own designs from other sources,how to combine patterns into an overall design, and how to utilizespecialty flosses and threads. Leave with more samples and at least twofinished projects! Meets Thursday, January 7 and 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. both nights.Questions? Call 404-323-0864.
